Kostas I. Spyriounis
Born in 1965, he lives in Athens.
His teachers in painting were Yannis Tsarouchis and Vrasidas Vlachopoulos, in sculpture Natalia Mela and in conservation Tassos Margaritoff.

1984-1988 Spyriounis worked on the aesthetic restoration of wall paintings in the University of Athens, the Iliou Melathron and the Arsakeio (Ministry of Culture).
1988-present Employed at the War Museum as artist in charge.
1989-2010 Taught painting.
1993 Collaborated with the Foundation for Hellenic Culture, for which he created a series of portraits.
1993 Presented a study on the fresco technique at a vocational training seminar (EU Community Fund-Secretariat for Greeks Abroad).
He has illustrated books by: Amalia Megapanou (LIBRO), Haris Megalynos (ΙΚΑROS), Alba Ambert Mc Cann (ΚΑΚΤΟS), Yorgos Chronas (ODOS PANOS), Olympia Karayiorga (DIAVLOS), Maro Stasinopoulou (ODOS PANOS), Elias Petropoulos (NEFELI), Andreas Rizopoulos, Alkioni Papadaki (KALENTIS), Giannis Souliotis (ODOS PANOS), ATHENS COLLEGE. His works can be found illustrating high school textbooks (Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs) and sets of cards for SOS Children’s Villages.
1998 The Hellenic Equestrian Federation selected a work of his (olive wreath) to be its official emblem for the World Cup of Central Europe (CSIO-W).
2006 Invited by the U.S. State Department to participate in its International Visitor Program.
2009 Painted nine stamps for the Hellenic Post office in the “Greek Actors and Actresses” series. Portraits of Aliki Vouyouklaki, Tzeni Karezi, Elli Lambeti, Dimitris Horn, Alekos Alexandrakis, Manos Katrakis, Thanos Kotsopoulos, Dinos Iliopoulos, Nikos Kourkoulos.
2010 Painted six stamps for the Hellenic Post Office in the series dedicated to “Greek Popular Music”, portraits of Giorgos Zambetas, Stelios Kazantzidis, Vicky Moscholiou, Sotiria Bellou, Grigoris Bithikotsis, Vassilis Tsitsanis.
2010 Designer and art curator of the Maria Callas Museum, (Technopolis – Municipality of Athens).
2011 Painted six stamps for the Hellenic Post office in the “Greek Actors and Actresses” series. Portraits of Mary Aroni, Thanassis Veggos, Rena Vlachopoulou, Vassilis Diamantopoulos, Orestis Makris, Sapfo Notara.
